"When I'm in drag there's a barrier between me and the public. I mingle with friends only because my female persona is very professional to me. I
don't perform any more so the only
time I'm in drag is when I'm emceeing
a fundraiser. I have a connection with
my femme side that extends beyond
performance. Sometimes I sit at hom
and work on making jewellery, beading gowns, or sometimes I'll throw on a dress and go out to a drag show and be in the audience. I will never, ever retire Ryan Waters."
