"In Winnipeg in 1988, 1 did a show at Rainbow Stage. At the cast party which was a talent night, the producer asked me to host as some of the different characters whose voices I had done. He gave me full run of the wardrobe and wig dpartment, the ultimate fantasy, an actor's playground. I don't dress up when I'm not on stage, because for me it's work. I only do it when I'm getting paid for it, but I definitely feel more
powerful on stage as Joan Rivers then off stage as Tim Roberts, just a simple Catholic boy with a dream."
