Love, sex, confusion, surreptitious behaviour, lifestyle changes, acceptance for what you are Acting Like A Girl is reality TV without the TV. Trailblazer Paddy Aldridge talks to local female impersonators. The series features performers who are drag legends in the village. For a half an hour Paddy will Interview each female impersonator about their struggles and discoveries being a girl. There will be a 15 minute Q & A. The finale will be a 15 minute supercharged performance before the performers go to their gigs as Liza, Barbra and any number of contrived characters that make this performance community a well-kept secret in Downtown Toronto.

The series is valuable information for a surprisingly wide audience. Could be anyone from an exec, who wants to surprise his department at the company costume party, a married man who, until now has silently had the urge to act like a girl or a professional drag artist perfecting her female persona.

Says Owner Paddy Aldridge … I have owned and operated a cross dresser transformation service in downtown Toronto since 1987. A transformation service is a relatively new type of business designed to assist men who want to look like women. In the beginning I thought the only help and assistance these men needed was external. I helped them with their looks unaware of the internal problems that raged within some of them. Creating a safe haven is part of it.

Guess what? It’s real hard acting like a girl; and what’s a girl to do if she wants to pass? Hey Joe, take a walk on the wild side. This show is for anyone who has an interest in female impersonation.
